As EVs are easier to power from local and renewable energy sources, their increased prevalence in Australia over the next few years will hopefully reduce our dependence on foreign oil and at a national level, meaning that we will be unaffected if fuel costs increase or are disrupted as currently we are highly dependant on other countries for petroleum imports therefore improving our national security.
